School Rules & Regulations
These rules are framed to ensure a safe, disciplined, and nurturing environment for the holistic development of every student.
Attendance & Punctuality
- Students must maintain regular attendance. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory to be eligible to appear for examinations.
- Students must report to the school campus in time to attend the morning assembly at 8:00 A.M. sharp.
- For one or two days’ leave of absence, parents should inform the class teacher by phone call either the night before or on the morning of the absence.
- For three to five days’ leave of absence, a written application should be submitted to the Vice Principal, or the parent should meet him in person.
- For more than five days’ leave of absence, a written application addressed to the Principal, along with valid supporting documents, must be submitted well in advance.
- Absence for more than ten consecutive days without prior intimation may result in the student’s name being struck off the rolls.
- Attendance is compulsory on the first and last working days of long holidays and vacations.
- No request for leave shall be entertained once the student has reported to school, except in cases of medical emergency.
Uniform, Appearance & Personal Discipline
- Students must attend school in proper, neat, and complete school uniform.
- Shoes must be well-polished, and hair must be neatly groomed as prescribed.
- Hair colouring, cosmetics, and fancy accessories are strictly prohibited.
- Wearing jewellery is not permitted, except for small ear studs or simple earrings.
- Blazers and full stockings are compulsory from February to April and from October to December. (Actual dates will be announced in assembly.)
- Students are discouraged from folding shirt sleeves in classrooms and formal settings and are encouraged to wear half-sleeve shirts instead.
Conduct, Behaviour & Discipline
- Students are expected to maintain discipline and decorum during classroom sessions, assemblies, and all school activities.
- A respectful attitude towards teachers, staff, captains, and peers is mandatory at all times.
- Disobedience, disrespect, or insubordination may invite strict disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.
- Any behaviour (on or off campus, online or offline) that brings disrepute to the school shall invite review and appropriate action by the Disciplinary Committee.
- Bullying in any form, including cyber-bullying, is a serious offence and shall be dealt with as per school policy and legal provisions.
School Property & Student Responsibility
- Students must take proper care of school property, including furniture, laboratory equipment, library books, and sanitary fittings.
- Any damage caused intentionally or due to negligence shall result in the cost of repair or replacement being recovered from parents or guardians.
- The school shall not be held responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of books, cash, valuables, or personal belongings. Students are strongly discouraged from bringing cash or valuables to school. In unavoidable circumstances, the student must inform a teacher, who may keep the cash in safe custody until the end of the school day.
Mobile Phones & Prohibited Items
- Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited on the school campus unless prior and explicit permission has been granted by the school.
- If a student is found carrying a mobile phone, it shall be confiscated, a non-refundable fine of ₹10,000 shall be imposed, and the device shall be released only after the student clears all subjects of the nearest/next summative assessment. .
Movement, Safety & Public Conduct
- Students must not loiter or remain seated for extended periods in restaurants, hotels, or other public places—particularly on benches meant for the general public—while in school uniform during school hours or long after the school’s closing time.
- Physical violence, fighting, or any form of aggression is strictly prohibited.
Examinations & Academic Discipline
- The academic year consists of four semesters, with SA 1–4 examinations conducted at the end of each semester.
- Formative assessments are conducted regularly through various modes.Parent/ student must ensure presence, attepmt and timely submission(in case of assignments/projects) to ensure maximum FA scores.
- Any student absent from an examination shall be awarded a score of zero (0), even if the leave has been approved. Re-examination may be permitted only in exceptional cases, subject to school approval and payment of the prescribed fee.
- Absence from any examination or tests will lead to a score of zero(0).
Fees & Administrative Matters
- School fees must be paid on or before the 15th of every month.
- Fee defaulters may be fined and debarred from examinations.
- Admission to and continuation in the school are subject to compliance with school rules and procedures.
Issue of Transfer Certificate
- Except for Grade 11, all applications for a Transfer Certificate must be submitted on or before 16 October 2026. Failing this, fees up to March 2027 shall be payable.
- Once the Grade 11 admission process is completed, any student admitted to Grade 11 who attends classes thereafter, irrespective of the number of days attended, shall be liable to pay the school fees for the entire academic year if a Transfer Certificate is applied for at a later stage.
- In the event of loss of the Transfer Certificate, the matter must be reported to the local police station. A copy of the police complaint, along with a fine of ₹1,000, must be submitted for the issuance of a duplicate Transfer Certificate.
Health, Hygiene & Medical Protocols
- Students suffering from contagious or infectious illnesses must not attend school until they are medically fit.
- Parents must inform the school about any chronic illness, allergy, or medical condition at the time of admission and whenever updates are required.
- Students are encouraged to bring home-prepared food for lunch or tiffin. The consumption of junk food on the school premises is discouraged.
Digital Conduct & Social Media Use
- Students are strictly prohibited from posting, sharing, or circulating objectionable content, misinformation, or defamatory material related to the school, staff, or students on social media platforms.
- Recording audio, video, or photographs of teachers, staff, or students without prior permission is strictly prohibited.
- All photographs and videos taken during school programmes, events, or of anything within the school premises, including classrooms, staff rooms, and administrative offices, are deemed to be the intellectual property of the school. Students and staff are strictly prohibited from recording, posting, sharing, or circulating such content on their personal social media handles or any digital platform. However, they are encouraged to follow the official school social media handles and share or repost content published only through these official channels.
Environmental Responsibility
- Students must actively participate in maintaining cleanliness of classrooms and school premises.
- Littering or wastage of water and electricity is strictly prohibited.
- Students are encouraged to follow eco-friendly practices as part of school culture.
Parental Cooperation & Communication
- Parents are expected to regularly check circulars, notices, and official communication channels of the school (viz. Teachmint App and School Website).
- Parents are advised and requested to attend all Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs). In the event of a missed PTM, it shall be the sole responsibility of the parent to obtain updates through the PTA coordinator or peer parents.
- Any grievance must be addressed through proper school channels and not through social media or public platforms.
- Random or uninformed visits by parents to the school are strongly discouraged. The school reserves the right to deny meetings with subject teachers, class teachers, or the Principal in the absence of prior intimation or appointment. Parents are requested to call or email the school before visiting, so that we may assist them more effectively.
- Parents or guardians must report to the school office and obtain prior permission before entering classrooms or meeting subject teachers. Unauthorised entry into classrooms or direct interaction with teachers during school hours without prior appointment and administrative approval shall be viewed as a breach of school security. In such cases, the school reserves the right to take appropriate action, including seeking police assistance, if deemed necessary.
General Clause
- The school reserves the right to amend, modify, or add to these rules as and when required in the interest of students and institutional discipline.
- Ignorance of school rules shall not be accepted as an excuse under any circumstances.
- The decision of the Discipline Committee in all matters submitted to the committee, shall be final and binding.
